Aiming to create a new pattern of hydrogen energy industry
HONG KONG,May 20, 2025/PRNewswire/ --China International Development CorporationLimited ("CIDC"or the"Company", together with its subsidiaries, the"Group"; Stock Code: 0264)Fong Sze Chun, Chairman of the Board of Directors, andChiang Chien Chih, General Manager of Flex Fuel Hydrogen Development Limited ("FFHD") (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the company, led a team to join forces withJames Ieong, Co-Founder of Climate Impact Corporation Pte. Ltd. ("CIC"), visited CIMC Raffles Yantai Base and CIMC Offshore Engineering Research Institute, and held a meeting between FFHD (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. and CIC. A strategic cooperation signing ceremony was held between FlexFuel Hydrogen Development (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., CIC, and CIMC GH2 (Guangdong) Technology Development Co., Ltd during the visit.
At CIMC Raffles Yantai Base, accompanied by Chen Youxiao, Assistant President of CIMC Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd., the delegation visited the exhibition hall and the ZhiPu plant, witnessed the working scene of the 20,000-ton Taishan gantry crane, and boarded the Blue Whale No. 2 offshore drilling platform.
At the CIMC Offshore Engineering Research Institute, the delegation was warmly received by Wang Jianzhong, CEO and President of CIMC Raffles Group. During the discussion, all three parties focused on the global macro trends of hydrogen energy development, agreeing that they should fully leverage their respective strengths to deepen cooperation in areas such as hydrogen production equipment supply, technological innovation, exploration of green hydrogen application scenarios, and global customer expansion, to accelerate international technological collaboration and coordinated project development.
In the last part of the meeting, witnessed by leaders from all three parties,Chiang Chien Chih(General Manager of FlexFuel Hydrogen Development (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.), Sun Yanting (President of CIC China), and Lu Guoai (Deputy General Manager of CIMC GH2 (Guangdong) Technology Development Co., Ltd.) officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
This collaboration will integrate the resources and technological strengths of all three parties, promoting strong partnerships among Chinese, French, and Australian companies for mutual benefit. Together, they aim to advance hydrogen technology and new project development in all three countries, setting a strong example for high-quality global green hydrogen industry growth and international cooperation.
Among the three parties in this collaboration, FFHD highlighted its leading strengths in core materials for AEM (Anion Exchange Membrane) and the overall design and manufacturing of electrolyzers. CIMC GH2, a subsidiary of CIMC Offshore Engineering, possesses comprehensive and mature alkaline electrolyzer production capabilities and a large-scale supply chain advantage. Its Green Hydrogen Materials Laboratory focuses on R&D and innovation of key raw materials such as hydrogen production electrodes, driving high-end development across the entire chain from materials to applications. CIC is planning to build two 10GW green hydrogen production bases inAustralia, aiming to make them global hydrogen export centers. With modular construction solutions, these projects can be rapidly deployed and will make significant contributions toAustralia'srenewable energy, playing a crucial role in the global green hydrogen market.
In the future, the three parties will work jointly to expand both the Chinese and international markets, creating a closed-loop industry and market ecosystem connectingAustralia,China,Japan, and South Korea.
"Hydrogen has become a core track in the global energy transition. The cooperation among the three parties is not just a strong alliance between companies, but also a powerful combination of the technological, production, and application advantages ofChina,France, andAustralia. In the future, the three parties will work closely together to jointly create a new landscape for the global green hydrogen industry."
