‘Culinary Class Wars’ Season 3 Confirmed — This Time, It’s Restaurant vs. Restaurant

Netflix has officially confirmed the production of Season 3 of Culinary Class Wars: Cooking Hierarchy Battle, introducing a major format change that raises the stakes higher than ever.

On January 16, Netflix announced the launch of participant recruitment for Season 3 via its official social media channels, signaling the full start of production. While the first two seasons focused on individual chef showdowns, the upcoming season will shift the battlefield to restaurants competing as teams.

What’s New in Season 3: Restaurant-Based Competition

Unlike previous seasons, Season 3 will feature restaurant vs. restaurant battles. Teams must consist of four chefs from the same restaurant, representing their establishment as a unit.

Key participation rules include:

  • No individual entries allowed
  • All four chefs must currently work at the same restaurant
  • Teams formed from different restaurants or personal connections are not eligible
  • Restaurants with the same brand name but different branches may apply as one team

This revamped format places the spotlight on teamwork, identity, and the culinary philosophy of each restaurant, rather than individual skill alone.

Season 3 will once again be led by Studio Slam, with Producer Kim Eun-ji and Writer Mo Eun-seol returning after the global success of Seasons 1 and 2.

Producer Kim shared:

A Global Hit Continues

With its intense concept of chefs battling purely on taste pitting underground culinary masters against top-tier celebrity chefs Culinary Class Wars has become one of Netflix’s most talked-about Korean food competition shows worldwide.

Seasons 1 and 2 are currently available on Netflix, and anticipation is already building for Season 3’s restaurant-centered culinary warfare, where reputation, teamwork, and pride are all on the line.

As kitchens turn into battlegrounds, Season 3 promises a fresh evolution of the franchise — and a new definition of what it means to win with flavor alone.
