Supporting Stability During a Critical Transition

On January 30, international humanitarian organization World Vision Korea confirmed the donation, stating that Doyoung decided to contribute after learning more about the challenges faced by youth preparing for independent life.

According to World Vision, the donation will be distributed to 21 young adults who are preparing to live independently after leaving institutional care. The funds will be used to cover housing expenses and emergency living costs, helping recipients maintain stability during a particularly vulnerable period. These young adults, often referred to as “care leavers,” face heightened financial and emotional challenges as they begin adult life without consistent family support.

“I Want to Support Those Who Are Dreaming”

In a statement shared through World Vision, Doyoung explained his motivation for the donation. “I wanted to offer a small help to everyone who is dreaming,” he said. “I will continue to dream endlessly as well, now and always.” His message emphasized encouragement and continuity rather than one time charity, aligning with his previous philanthropic efforts.

Continued Giving, Even During Military Service

World Vision highlighted that Doyoung has remained committed to charitable work even while serving in the military. “Doyoung continued to share his sincere support during his military service,” the organization said. “We will do our utmost to ensure that this donation leads to tangible, positive changes in the lives of these young people.”

In October 2025, Doyoung also donated 100 million KRW through World Vision to support the construction of a school in Bugondo Village, Uganda, providing educational infrastructure for local children.
