On February 3, Netflix officially announced that it will exclusively live-stream ‘BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG’ at 8 p.m. KST on March 21. The show will be transmitted in real time to viewers in more than 190 countries, making it one of the most widely accessible live performances in BTS’s career.
The comeback show will take place at Gwanghwamun Square, one of Seoul’s most recognizable landmarks and a site closely tied to Korean history and cultural identity. The location was selected to align with the theme of BTS’s upcoming fifth full length album, ‘ARIRANG,’ which reflects on the group’s origins, journey, and evolving sense of self.
All seven members RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook will appear together on stage to present the first live performances from the new album. The event marks BTS’s first full group comeback stage in several years, drawing heightened attention from fans around the world.
To support the scale and reach of the comeback, HYBE and Netflix have partnered to deliver the live broadcast. The collaboration represents Netflix’s first live event streamed globally from Korea, underscoring the platform’s growing focus on real-time international entertainment.
‘BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG’ will join Netflix’s expanding slate of live programming, which has included events such as ‘Skyscraper Live,’ ‘Star Search,’ ‘NFL Christmas Gameday,’ and ‘Paul vs. Tyson.’ Netflix has also outlined plans to stream additional live content in the future, including MLB games, the FIFA Women’s World Cup, and major awards ceremonies.

BTS’s fifth studio album ‘ARIRANG’ centers on reflection and identity, revisiting the group’s beginnings while looking ahead to its next chapter. Following the album’s release, BTS plans to embark on a large-scale world tour spanning 34 regions across Asia, North America, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East, with a total of 82 scheduled performances.
Netflix will also release a feature length documentary titled ‘BTS: The Return’ on March 27. The film documents BTS’s journey back to the global stage after a three year and nine month hiatus, focusing on the creative process behind the new album.
Directed by Bao Nguyen known for ‘Stringer: Who Took That Photo?’ and ‘The Greatest Night in Pop’ and produced by This Machine, the documentary offers an in depth look at the group’s preparations and reflections during this pivotal period.
