Veteran K-pop group Super Junior proved once again why they’re still going strong after two decades, sharing both laughter and honesty during their appearance on Knowing Bros, which aired Saturday night on JTBC.
Celebrating their 20th debut anniversary last year, the members opened up about teamwork, leadership, and the behind-the-scenes dynamics that kept the group together longer than most idol teams ever manage.

Leader Leeteuk revealed that the group arrived at the show together on a single bus a deliberate throwback to their early rookie days.
“We used to travel together on buses while promoting back in 2005,” he explained. “I thought it would be meaningful to relive that moment as we mark 20 years.”
The nostalgic gesture immediately set the tone for an episode filled with reflection and humor.
Kyuhyun surprised viewers by admitting that preparations for their latest album were split into different dance levels an “advanced class,” a “struggling class,” and everyone in between.
“I felt a bit discouraged,” he confessed.
Siwon quickly followed up with a playful reveal, joking that choreography often changed completely after the advanced group finished practicing making things harder for everyone else. Eunhyuk, a member of the so-called advanced group, rushed to defend himself, sending the studio into laughter.

The teasing didn’t stop there. The members jokingly claimed that Ryeowook has quietly become the group’s new power center.
They explained that schedules previously rejected would suddenly move forward if Ryeowook approved them, even reenacting his authority with exaggerated impressions. The segment highlighted Super Junior’s long-standing chemistry built on comfort, not competition.
Amid the jokes, Siwon delivered one of the episode’s most sincere moments.
He credited leader Leeteuk as the main reason Super Junior survived two decades in an industry known for short lifespans.
“If it weren’t for Leeteuk,” Siwon said, “our team might have ended long ago.”
Kyuhyun added that during moments when Leeteuk struggled under pressure, Eunhyuk naturally stepped in as a stabilizing force a dynamic that helped keep the group balanced over the years.
Looking ahead, Eunhyuk raised anticipation for Super Junior’s upcoming album, revealing that it includes nine tracks one for each current member.
He described the title track as especially meaningful, saying it finally satisfies a creative hunger the group has felt for years. According to him, the members are putting extra effort into the performance to properly mark their milestone year.
Rather than flashy nostalgia, Super Junior’s appearance focused on something deeper: trust, adaptability, and leadership shared over time.
Two decades on, the group continues to stand out not just for longevity, but for the rare ability to grow together and laugh about it along the way.
