Even Jo In-sung has had a moment where he willingly conceded defeat at least when it comes to aura and presence.
Appearing on a recent episode of the YouTube show Hajiyoung, Jo In-sung was asked a deceptively simple question:
“Have you ever lost to someone in terms of looks or vibe?”
His answer came without hesitation.
“Yes. I have.”
And the person who made him admit it was none other than Lee Jung-jae.

Jo In-sung went on to share a memorable story from a private dinner with Lee Jung-jae.
“Jung-jae hyung was just sitting there, looking at the wine list,” he recalled. “But the way he did it — the posture, the calm confidence — it was unbelievably cool.”
So much so, in fact, that Jo In-sung turned to another person at the table and asked, “Did you see that? Isn’t he incredible?”
“It wasn’t just about his face,” he explained. “It was the whole aura. In that sense, I definitely lost.”
Despite the confession, Jo In-sung made one thing clear: he has never felt the need to compete in photos.
When asked whether he has ever tried standing behind someone to make his face look smaller, he laughed it off.
“Never. Why would I do that? I have my pride. Trying that hard would just be embarrassing.”

Jo In-sung also spoke candidly about his own appearance. Asked when he feels most satisfied looking at himself, his answer was refreshingly honest.
“Right after washing my face,” he said. “When you’ve just cleansed and your skin is glowing that’s the best.”
As for his charm? He kept it simple.
“My strength is being ordinary. Just being myself.”
Meanwhile, Jo In-sung is set to return to the big screen in the upcoming film Humint, starring alongside Park Jung-min and Shin Se-kyung. The movie is scheduled for release on February 11.
Sometimes, even the most handsome stars know when to tip their hat especially when the opponent is Lee Jung-jae.
