Netflix has released the main poster and trailer for its upcoming original film ‘Pavane’, offering an intimate glimpse into a youth romance led by Byeon Yohan, Moon Sang-min, and Go Ah-sung.
Directed by Lee Jong-pil, ‘Pavane’ tells the story of three people who have each closed themselves off from the world, only to gradually confront love, life, and healing through their connection with one another.

The main poster, unveiled on February 6, captures the three characters standing together as if posing for a photograph a visual that feels like a preserved fragment of youth that can never be repeated.
Go Ah-sung stars as Mi-jeong, a woman who has spent her life hiding from uncomfortable stares and judgment. Her rare, bright smile in the poster hints at a transformation sparked by her encounters with Yo-han (Byeon Yohan) and Gyeong-rok (Moon Sang-min).
Yo-han’s playful expression reflects his free-spirited nature, injecting warmth and vitality into the trio, while Gyeong-rok’s presence suggests a quieter, more restrained emotional world.

Gyeong-rok is introduced as a young man who once dreamed of becoming a dancer but now lives detached from his ambitions and emotions. His cold, indifferent exterior begins to shift after meeting Mi-jeong and Yo-han, setting him on a path of gradual change.
The poster’s soft, diffused colors reminiscent of light gently bleeding across film mirror the film’s themes of fragile youth, emotional vulnerability, and unspoken longing.
The main trailer opens with Yo-han’s reflective narration: “All love is a misunderstanding the misunderstanding that someone is different from everyone else, and that it will last forever.”
Accompanied by a gentle piano melody, the trailer traces the quiet attraction between Mi-jeong and Gyeong-rok, capturing the subtle moment when affection begins to take root. Yo-han, watching from the sidelines, cautions Gyeong-rok not to approach Mi-jeong lightly, hinting at emotional tension beneath the surface.
As Gyeong-rok grows more certain of his feelings, the trailer shows the two sharing moments of laughter and closeness. Mi-jeong’s voiceover “You called me out of the darkness I was hiding in” underscores the emotional heart of the story: being seen and changed by another person.
The trailer’s final scenes introduce a more somber note. Yo-han stands alone beside the darkened sign of their shared hideout, Kentucky Hope, while Gyeong-rok insists he is fine despite tears in his eyes. These moments suggest that the bond between the three will be tested, adding emotional depth to the film’s gentle tone.
Rather than relying on dramatic twists, ‘Pavane’ positions itself as a restrained, emotionally driven story one that explores how love, misunderstanding, and connection shape youth in quiet but lasting ways.
Netflix’s ‘Pavane’ is set to premiere globally on February 20.
