ENHYPEN’s Jungwon Marks His Birthday With a 100 Million KRW Donation

ENHYPEN leader Jungwon is celebrating his birthday in a meaningful way by giving back.

On February 9, Jungwon officially joined Honor Society, South Korea’s prestigious high-value donor program operated by the Community Chest of Korea, after pledging a total donation of 100 million KRW.

A Birthday Gift That Gives Back

The donation was made in honor of Jungwon’s birthday and reflects his desire to return the love he has received from fans through tangible social impact. Rather than a one-time contribution, Jungwon committed to a five-year donation plan, contributing 20 million KRW annually.

The funds will be used to support underprivileged children and teenagers, including welfare programs designed to improve living conditions and access to essential resources.

“Support That Becomes Courage”

In a statement shared through the organization, Jungwon explained that being a K-pop artist constantly reminds him that the love and attention he receives are never guaranteed.

He expressed hope that his contribution would help children who are unable to enjoy basic rights due to environmental or social barriers, adding that he wants his support to become both comfort and encouragement for those in need.

Global Influence Beyond Music

Jungwon’s donation comes at a time when ENHYPEN’s global presence continues to grow. The group was recently ranked second in Parrot Analytics’ “Talents of the Year Under 30” category in its 2025 annual report, highlighting their international cultural impact.

ENHYPEN also wrapped up their world tour “WALK THE LINE,” performing 32 shows across 19 cities and drawing nearly 676,000 fans worldwide a testament to their expanding global fanbase.

More Than a Celebration

By choosing generosity over spectacle, Jungwon turned his birthday into a moment of shared meaning. His decision to commit to long-term giving reinforces a growing trend among K-pop artists who are using their influence to drive positive social change quietly, consistently, and with intention.
