Singer Sung Si-kyung is set to surprise viewers with an unexpected duet alongside MAMAMOO’s Hwasa during the upcoming SBS Lunar New Year special broadcast.

Airing on February 14 at 8:30 p.m. KST, “Lunar New Year Special Concert Sung Si-kyung” presents the televised version of his sold-out December concert series held from December 25 to 28. The special traces Sung Si-kyung’s 25-year musical journey, offering a curated timeline of the ballad singer’s career-defining hits.
The broadcast will feature beloved tracks from Sung Si-kyung’s debut album through to his most iconic releases, including “Just Like the First Time,” “We Make a Good Pair,” “It Would Be Good,” “On the Street,” “Hello My Love,” “Every Moment of You,” and “Heejae.”
Fans can also look forward to a performance of “Solar System,” a song Sung Si-kyung has described as one of his personal favorites. Reflecting on the track, he shared that composer Kang Seung-won once sang it casually at a gathering, and he immediately expressed his desire to perform it himself. He characterized the song as portraying “a distant presence that can never be reached, yet painfully visible every night,” noting that it carries a timeless quality distinct from current trends.

The highlight of the special, however, will be Sung Si-kyung’s duet with Hwasa. In a surprising pairing, he joins the powerhouse vocalist on her hit track “Good Goodbye.”
The performance promises more than just vocal harmony. Viewers will witness a bold stage featuring a duet dance element, marking a departure from Sung Si-kyung’s signature ballad-focused image. The collaboration brings together his smooth, emotional tone and Hwasa’s commanding presence, creating a cross-genre moment designed to captivate audiences.
As Sung Si-kyung celebrates a milestone year in his career, the special broadcast offers both nostalgia and novelty honoring his legacy while introducing fresh, unexpected chemistry on stage.
