Actress Lee Min-jung shared her excitement about stepping into her first-ever audition program MC role at the press conference for MBC’s new competition show ‘The Winners’ on February 11.

When asked why she decided to host an audition program for the first time, Lee responded candidly. “I’ve always loved audition shows,” she said. “Ever since the first season of Superstar K, I never missed an episode. I used to wonder what it would feel like to watch those performances live.”
She added that the opportunity to continuously hear strong vocal performances was part of the appeal. “I thought that as an MC, I’d be able to keep listening to great songs. These days at home, I mostly listen to children’s songs, so I felt like this would be a chance to enjoy good music again outside,” she said with a smile.
‘The Winners’ brings together past champions from major music audition programs, placing them in a high-stakes competition to determine the ultimate “winner of winners.” Unlike traditional survival formats, the show centers on contestants who have already proven themselves through intense competition, raising expectations for top-tier performances.
Lee Min-jung will co-host the show alongside entertainer Boom, while the panel lineup includes Baek Ji-young, Heo Sung-tae, Kim Yong-jun, Park Ji-hyun, and Kim Chaewon.
MBC’s ‘The Winners’ premieres on February 15 at 8:50 p.m. KST, marking Lee Min-jung’s official debut as an audition program MC.
