Sometimes, it’s the smallest gestures that reveal the most about a person’s character.
Broadcaster Jun Hyun-moo recently shared a behind-the-scenes story involving actor Park Bo-gum, and the message quickly became a talking point among viewers.

The story was revealed on the Feb. 8 broadcast of KBS2’s variety show Boss in the Mirror, where Jun spoke about his occasional text exchanges with Park Bo-gum.
While the two are not close friends who talk frequently, Jun explained that they do keep in touch from time to time through messages.
That small connection turned meaningful after Jun Hyun-moo won the Grand Prize at the 2025 KBS Entertainment Awards.
According to Jun, he sent Park Bo-gum a message after the ceremony, telling him that the award truly felt like something Park Bo-gum himself deserved.
Park Bo-gum’s reply, however, caught him completely off guard.
Rather than accepting the compliment, Park responded with humility, saying he had attended the ceremony simply to celebrate and support his seniors.
Jun Hyun-moo admitted that reading the message left a strong impression on him.
“That’s when I realized,” he said, “his mindset alone already makes him worthy of a grand prize.”

The story didn’t stop there.
Fellow cast member Park Myung-soo jokingly added that Park Bo-gum should have received the award instead.
Jun played along with the humor, laughing that he might as well ship the trophy over by courier.
The lighthearted exchange only reinforced the point: Park Bo-gum’s reputation for kindness and respect isn’t just fan lore—it’s something industry veterans experience firsthand.

For longtime fans, the story felt perfectly on brand.
Park Bo-gum has consistently been praised for his manners, sincerity, and thoughtfulness, both on and off camera. This quiet text message, shared without exaggeration or drama, once again highlighted why he’s often described as someone whose character matches his image.
In an industry driven by spotlight moments, sometimes it’s the unseen ones that leave the deepest mark.
