BTS’s J-Hope Donates 350 Million Won for His Birthday Supporting Children, Students, and Animal Welfare

BTS member J-Hope marked his birthday with a major act of philanthropy, donating a total of 350 million won to multiple causes that reflect his long-standing commitment to social impact.

According to his agency, the artist contributed 200 million won to the Children’s Hospital at Asan Medical Center in Seoul. The donation continues a multi-year partnership with the institution and brings his cumulative contribution to the hospital to 500 million won.

The funds will be used to improve pediatric treatment facilities, enhance medical environments for young patients, expand home-care support for critically ill children, and operate psychological recovery programs.

Investing in the next generation

J-Hope also donated 100 million won to the child welfare organization Green Umbrella to support students from his alma mater and local schools in Gwangju.

He has consistently provided scholarships for students facing financial hardship, and this latest contribution ensures that selected recipients will be able to continue their education with greater stability.

With this donation, he became the 14th member of Green Umbrella’s high-value donor group, the Green Noble Trinity Club, a recognition reserved for major contributors.

Extending support to animal welfare

His birthday giving included support for animal protection as well. J-Hope donated 50 million won to animal welfare organizations, combining proceeds from a charity auction linked to his HUMAN MADE collaboration with additional personal funds.

The contribution will help rescue operations and care for abandoned and vulnerable animals.
