SEVENTEEN’s DK is lending his voice to one of Korea’s biggest webtoon franchises. The main vocalist has been confirmed as the singer of the new Return of the Blossoming Blade (화산귀환) OST, “I Never Learned How to Lose,” set for release on February 23 at 6 PM KST on major streaming platforms.
The track arrives ahead of the webtoon’s highly anticipated Season 3 and marks the fifth official OST for the smash hit series, which has surpassed 700 million cumulative downloads and consistently ranked among Korea’s most-read titles. With major awards and top user rankings under its belt, the franchise continues to prove its massive cultural impact.

“I Never Learned How to Lose” is a high-energy pop-rock band song built on fast tempo and bright momentum. The lyrics mirror the webtoon’s core message of perseverance, comparing its heroes’ journey to flowers blooming after a harsh winter.
DK’s voice moves between soft emotional control and explosive power, amplifying the characters’ determination and growth arc. His performance is designed to pull listeners straight into the narrative, delivering both adrenaline and catharsis.

Return of the Blossoming Blade has built a reputation for high-quality music, previously featuring artists such as Jo Gwang-il, Ahn Ye-eun, Kim Yuna, and SIMGYUSEON. Each release translated the story’s themes of youth, loyalty, and longing into sound, and DK now joins that lineup with one of the most uplifting tracks in the series.
The new song was co-produced by Brand New Music and Studio LICO, with longtime OST producer KIVI leading the project alongside Rhymer, OUOW, and Lee Eun-yu. An animated music video will be released together with the track, visually tracing protagonist Cheongmyeong and the Mount Hua disciples’ growth.

Following the protagonist’s evolution, the OST delivers a clear message: even in moments of defeat, you stand back up. With DK’s emotional delivery at the center, the track is expected to resonate not only with CARATs but also with webtoon fans and general listeners.
