BTS comeback to be broadcast live worldwide on Netflix — platform’s first global live music event

BTS’ long-awaited comeback will unfold in real time for fans across the globe, with Netflix becoming the closest seat to the stage.

Global live broadcast from Gwanghwamun

Netflix has officially confirmed that it will exclusively livestream the BTS comeback show
Gwanghwamun Square, Seoul on March 21 at 8 PM (KST).

The event celebrates the release of BTS’ 5th full album ARIRANG and will be the first time the new songs are performed on stage.

Through the livestream, viewers worldwide will watch RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook perform simultaneously in the same moment, regardless of country or time zone.

Netflix’s first live event from Korea

This performance marks a major milestone:

  • Netflix’s first live event broadcast globally from Korea
  • available to all paying subscribers
  • a new step in the platform’s expansion into live entertainment

Rather than a simple concert stream, the production aims to deliver a fully immersive viewing experience that follows not only the stage but also the emotions and movement of the performance.

The show will be helmed by Hamish Hamilton, one of the world’s most renowned live event directors, known for:

  • the Super Bowl halftime show
  • the Academy Awards, Grammys, and Emmys
  • the London 2012 Olympic opening ceremony
  • concerts for Madonna, Beyoncé, and Rihanna

His involvement signals a global-scale production designed specifically for live broadcast.

A shared real-time experience for ARMY worldwide

Netflix stated that the event will allow fans to:

“share the same moment, at the same time, beyond language and cultural barriers.”

Even those who cannot attend in person will be able to experience the comeback stage as if they were there.

Comeback documentary also coming

On March 27, Netflix will release a feature-length documentary capturing the making of ARIRANG and BTS’ journey back after 3 years and 9 months.

The film is directed by Bao Nguyen and produced by This Machine, the team behind major global music documentaries.

A new era for both BTS and live streaming

With a historic album, a real-time global stage, and Netflix’s first Korean live broadcast, the comeback is set to become one of the most significant music events of 2026 experienced together by fans around the world.
