On February 26, Jungkook hosted a live broadcast via the fan platform Weverse that lasted approximately 90 minutes in the early hours of the morning.

During the livestream, Jungkook appeared in a relaxed setting with friends and his older brother. He sang along to songs and spoke openly with viewers. “I’m human too. I want to be comfortable,” he said. “It feels like people around me are being cautious, but I just want to live the way I want.”
He also reflected on personal matters, sharing that he had previously quit smoking and emphasizing his desire to be honest. “I’m someone who wants to be truthful. If I’ve done something wrong, I want to acknowledge it,” he said. “I just don’t know how much I can say. If it weren’t for the company, I would probably say everything.”
Clips from the livestream quickly circulated online, drawing varied reactions from fans.
Some expressed support, describing the broadcast as a glimpse into Jungkook’s authentic personality. Others felt certain expressions made during the live including casual profanity could have been more measured given his global profile.
A portion of fans speculated that ongoing public attention and preparations for BTS’s upcoming full-group album may have contributed to heightened pressure, though no official statement has addressed such interpretations.
Following the livestream, Jungkook posted a message on Weverse reassuring fans. “The album is really not far away. Please wait just a little longer. When we come back, I’ll give it my all. I love you,” he wrote, sharing a selfie.
He also added, “I’m going to live my life in my own way now, so please support me.” When one fan commented encouraging him not to regret the broadcast, Jungkook replied, “Why would I regret it? I miss you.”
BTS is scheduled to release their fifth full-length album, ‘ARIRANG,’ on March 20.
