Now, YG Entertainment has confirmed that the legendary group will reunite for a concert as part of their 20th anniversary celebration.
The announcement came on March 4 through YG Entertainment’s official blog, where executive producer Yang Hyun Suk personally introduced the company’s major plans for 2026.

BIGBANG, one of the most influential and oldest groups in K-pop history, marks its 20th debut anniversary this year. According to Yang Hyun Suk, the members have agreed to hold a concert together, raising anticipation for what could become one of the biggest events in K-pop.
The upcoming performances are expected to celebrate the group’s two-decade musical journey while also symbolizing the continued partnership between BIGBANG and YG Entertainment.
Yang stated that because the members and the company have worked closely together for so many years, preparing the show should feel natural. He added that YG staff will do their best to create a “perfect and memorable performance.”

The BIGBANG announcement was part of a broader roadmap for YG Entertainment in 2026.
Rookie powerhouse BABYMONSTER will release a mini album in May, followed by their second full-length album in the fall. The title track of the mini album will be called CHOOM, a word that means “dance” in Korean. Yang explained that the title visually resembles a person spreading their arms while dancing, emphasizing the song’s dynamic concept.
BABYMONSTER will also expand their global presence with a second world tour beginning in June, with stops planned across Latin America, Europe, and Oceania.
TREASURE will also return with a mini album in June, marking what Yang described as the start of the group’s “second chapter.” According to him, the members expressed a strong desire to explore hip-hop, and the upcoming release will showcase a style fans have not seen from them before.

YG also hinted at the debut of new artists.
The company revealed that a new boy group is currently being prepared with a goal of debuting in the fall. Meanwhile, another project girl group tentatively called Next Monster is also in development, with additional members expected to be revealed soon.
Yang Hyun Suk also noted that 2026 marks YG Entertainment’s 30th anniversary. Rather than focusing only on past achievements, he emphasized the company’s commitment to continuing its work into the 40th and 50th anniversaries.
