On March 3, Park Bom uploaded a handwritten letter on social media addressing past controversy involving Adderall, a medication commonly used to treat ADHD. In the message, she said that the medication was not an illegal drug use and described herself as an ADHD patient. However, the post also included a claim suggesting that Sandara Park had once been involved in a drug related issue, a statement that quickly drew attention online. The message was later removed by Park Bom.

After remaining silent for about a day, Sandara Park addressed the issue on her Instagram Story on March 4. She wrote: “I have never taken drugs. I hope she is healthy.” With the online statement, Sandara Park both denied the allegation and expressed concern for Park Bom’s well being.

Following the statement, fans began examining Sandara Park’s Instagram activity ad noticed that as of the morning of March 5, Park Bom’s account could no longer be found in Sandara Park’s following list. Meanwhile, Sandara Park still follows the other two 2NE1 members, CL and Minzy.

It still remains unclear whether Sandara Park unfollowed Park Bom, or whether Park Bom may have restricted or blocked Sandara Park’s Instagram account.

Park Bom and Sandara Park debuted together in 2NE1 in 2009, becoming close friends over nearly 20 years in the entertainment industry. Because of their long history as groupmates and peers of the same age, the recent situation has left many fans concerned about the possibility of tension between the two. Fans started commenting encouragement messages on Sandara Park’s Instagram posts such as “No matter what, Dara, we love you. ” to show support for the singer.
