Former After School leader Kahi shared a surprising fun story from her idol days talking about how strict dorm life used to be for K-pop groups back then going as far as having their phones confiscated.

During a recent recording of KBS2’s variety show “Stars Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant” (‘Pyeonstorang’), Kahi recalled that the group once had their phones confiscated after repeatedly sneaking out of their dorm. The story came up when Wonder Girls’ Sunye invited close friends to her home. The guests turned out to be Wonder Girls’ Yubin and After School’s Kahi, bringing together three iconic second-generation K-pop stars. While enjoying a homemade meal prepared by Sunye, the three began reminiscing about their early idol days.
During the conversation, Kahi opened up about After School’s strict dorm regulations. “Our phones were taken away because we went out too much,” she revealed. She then surprised everyone with a candid confession. “We secretly left the dorm to meet our boyfriends and got caught. We even went to clubs and got caught again.” Her honest story drew laughter from the other girls and cast.
Curious about their experiences, Kahi asked the Wonder Girls members if they had ever sneaked out. Yubin revealed that Sunye and Yeeun once went clubbing with the members shortly after becoming adults. She even added that producer Park Jin-young joined them for a club tour, sparking more laughter and surprise in the studio.
More stories from their idol days will be revealed during the March 6 broadcast at 10 p.m.
