TXT’s Yeonjun has just reached a milestone that fans say highlights how far K-pop’s global influence has grown.
The idol has become the first Korean singer to participate in an official soundtrack for the World Baseball Classic (WBC) one of the biggest international baseball tournaments.
For many fans, the moment feels symbolic. A K-pop artist contributing to the official music of a global sports event shows how deeply Korean pop culture is now reaching beyond music charts.
On March 5, the song “Make It Count”, featuring TXT’s Yeonjun, was released across global streaming platforms.
The track is part of the official soundtrack for the 2026 World Baseball Classic, marking the first time the tournament has released an official music project tied to the event.
Yeonjun appears as a primary artist on the track alongside global pop stars Becky G and Myke Towers.
The project was overseen by two-time Grammy Award–winning producer Tainy, who produced three songs for the soundtrack, with “Make It Count” serving as the main track.

What makes the collaboration particularly notable is that Yeonjun is the only Korean artist participating in the project.
He also performs some of the lyrics in Korean, adding a unique cultural touch to the international release.
For fans, the appearance of Korean lyrics in a global sports soundtrack feels like another example of K-pop continuing to expand its global presence.

Shortly after the song’s release, fans began celebrating the news across social media.
Some fans described the collaboration as “a huge moment for Yeonjun”, while others said it shows how widely K-pop artists are now being recognized in international entertainment and sports events.

For longtime TXT fans, the collaboration also highlights Yeonjun’s versatility as a performer who can move easily between K-pop stages and global music projects.

Yeonjun has long been known among fans for his strong stage presence, live performance skills, and dancing ability.
In 2024, he released his first solo mixtape “GGUM,” which further cemented his reputation as one of the standout performers of his generation.
He later expanded his musical range by releasing his first solo mini album in November last year.
Meanwhile, Yeonjun’s group TXT (Tomorrow X Together) is preparing to release its 8th mini album, “7TH YEAR: When the Wind Paused in the Thorn Bush,” on April 13.
The upcoming album will be the group’s first release since renewing their contract with BigHit Music, making it one of the most anticipated K-pop comebacks of the spring.
For fans, Yeonjun’s participation in the WBC soundtrack is yet another sign that TXT’s global influence continues to grow — not only in music, but across international culture and entertainment.
