Stray Kids member Felix (Lee Felix) has been appointed an honorary ambassador for the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and South Korea, marking another global milestone for the K-pop star.
The announcement was made by the Embassy of France in the Republic of Korea during an official press conference on March 5. Alongside Felix, actress Jun Ji‑hyun was also selected as an honorary ambassador for the historic cultural initiative.
According to the French Embassy, Felix was selected because of his strong global influence and popularity across Europe, including France.
As a member of Stray Kids, Felix has helped the group reach massive international audiences through world tours and major performances across the continent. Officials noted that his distinct personality and global recognition help create cultural connections between younger generations in Korea and France.
The embassy described Felix as a figure who expands cultural empathy between the two countries, particularly through music and youth culture.

As an honorary ambassador, Felix is expected to participate in major cultural events celebrating the 140th anniversary of diplomatic ties between France and South Korea.
Through symbolic participation and promotional activities, the initiative aims to highlight the long-standing friendship between the two countries while encouraging future cultural, artistic, and human exchanges.
Felix also shared a brief message about the role, saying:
“Many cultural and artistic events will take place in Korea this year, so please show a lot of interest and participation.”
Felix’s appointment comes as Stray Kids continues to build a strong fanbase in France.
The group has achieved several notable milestones in the country, including becoming the first K-pop act to headline Lollapalooza Paris in 2023.
They also participated in the “Yellow Coins” charity event hosted by the French First Lady, appearing in both 2024 and 2026.
In July 2025, the group held a massive concert at the iconic Stade de France as part of their “dominATE” world tour, attracting approximately 120,000 fans the largest audience ever recorded for a K-pop concert in France.
Meanwhile, Stray Kids will soon meet fans again in Korea.
The group is set to hold its sixth official fan meeting, titled “STAY in Our Little House,” at Inspire Arena in Incheon on March 28–29 and April 4–5.
The final performances on March 29 and April 5 will also be streamed online through Beyond LIVE, allowing fans around the world to watch the event in real time.
Felix’s new ambassador role highlights once again how K-pop artists are increasingly becoming global cultural figures beyond music, representing international connections between countries and communities.
