As K-pop continues to grow globally, groups with multinational lineups are drawing increasing attention. One rising example is HORI7ON, a rookie boy group gaining recognition for its unique mix of Filipino and Japanese members and its cross-border journey into the Korean music industry.
At the center of the group is Filipino leader Vinci, who has become one of the most recognizable members introducing HORI7ON to international audiences.
HORI7ON was formed through the reality survival program “Dream Maker,” a collaboration between Philippine broadcaster ABS-CBN and Korean entertainment company MLD Entertainment.
After months of competition, seven trainees were selected to debut as the final group.

The group officially debuted on July 24, 2023, with their studio album “Friend-Ship.”
Unlike most K-pop groups, HORI7ON represents a Korean-Filipino entertainment collaboration, making them one of the first idol groups with a strong Filipino identity promoting in Korea.
Because of this, the group has been actively promoting in both South Korea and the Philippines, building a growing international fanbase known as ANCHOR.
Songs like “DASH,” “Salamat,” “Lovey Dovey,” and “SIX7EEN” have helped the group introduce their style to global audiences.

Despite debuting only recently, HORI7ON has already gained recognition at major events.
The group won the Focus Award at the 2023 Asia Artist Awards in the Philippines, highlighting their growing influence as a rookie act.
The members have also expressed their ambitions to achieve major milestones in the Korean music industry, including winning first place on a Korean music show.

With members from multiple countries and activities spanning different markets, HORI7ON represents the kind of international collaboration that is increasingly shaping the future of K-pop.
As the group prepares for future releases and promotions, fans are watching closely to see how HORI7ON continues to grow as a global idol group connecting Korea, Japan, and the Philippines.
