GOT7’s Jinyoung recently shared a surprising story from the group’s early days revealing that the members sometimes fought so intensely that it even happened inside a broadcast station bathroom. The unexpected outcome of that fight was unexpected.

Jinyoung appeared on the YouTube talk show “Salon Drip 2” on the TEO channel alongside actress Kim Min-ju, his co-star from the new JTBC drama ‘Shining.’ During the conversation, he was asked about his relationship with GOT7 members today to which he replied:
“We still have a group chat,” he said.
“We don’t talk all the time, but it still feels like family.”
When the hosts mentioned rumors that GOT7 used to fight frequently similar to groups like Shinhwa or Super Junior Jinyoung didn’t hesitate one bit to confirm it.
“We really fought a lot,” he admitted.
Jinyoung explained that some arguments began during dance practice, especially when choreography involved physical movements. Sometimes the members would accidentally bump into each other during practice, which could escalate to having arguments with each other. Those moments, he said, reflected how intensely the group approached their performances.

Host Jang Do-yeon brought up a famous rumor that the members once fought in a broadcast station bathroom but still went on stage as if nothing had happened. Jinyoung laughed and confirmed the story.
“We actually did fight in the bathroom,” he said.
But when staff told them it was time to perform, everything changed.
“We just went on stage smiling,” he recalled.
After the performance, the members would often naturally reconcile. He said the members acted as if nothing happened and they would shortly go share a meal together which helped make the things alright.
Looking back, Jinyoung said those conflicts ultimately strengthened their bond. He added that those intense experiences helped the members grow closer and build the strong trust they still share today.
“Because we fought so much back then, we don’t really have anything left to fight about now,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Jinyoung is currently appearing in the JTBC drama “Shining” which premiered on March 6.
While he continues focusing on acting, stories like this remind fans of the deep history he shares with the members of GOT7, a group that debuted more than a decade ago and remains beloved by fans worldwide.
