BTS member V (Kim Taehyung) is once again proving his global influence and this time it is through an unexpected place: Google Image search.
Fans recently discovered that when the alphabet letter “V” is searched on Google Images, photos of BTS’s V appear before the letter itself. The surprising result quickly went viral online and even caught the attention of Google’s official social media account.
The moment gained attention after a BTS fan shared a screenshot showing that searching the letter “V” in Google Image search repeatedly displayed photos of the idol.
The fan jokingly captioned the post, “Taehyung is insane,” highlighting how the singer seemed to dominate search results even over the alphabet itself.
What made the moment even more notable was that Google’s official X (formerly Twitter) account responded to the post.
The company humorously described the letter V as “the best dressed letter of the alphabet,” playfully referencing the BTS star’s well-known visuals and style.
The interaction between the fan and the official account quickly spread across social media.

According to reports, the unusual search result was first discovered in February 2025 by a student in the United States.
The student had been creating a slideshow using Google Image search results for each letter of the alphabet from A to Z. When they reached the letter V, they noticed that photos of BTS’s V appeared at the top instead of the letter itself.
The student informed their teacher, who then shared the discovery with a BTS fan and the information rapidly spread within the fandom.

Google Image search results are organized by automated systems often referred to as “Google bots.”
These systems constantly scan online content and rank images based on relevance, popularity, and search trends.
In other words, if a particular image or name is searched frequently enough, it can appear higher in results — even when users search for something else.
The fact that BTS’s V appears prominently when searching for the letter “V” suggests just how strong his global search popularity is.

Data supports the idea that V’s online presence is enormous.
Since BTS debuted in June 2013, V has reportedly remained the most searched Korean celebrity on Google.
He was also the most searched Asian figure globally in 2021, 2022, 2024, and 2025.
In 2025, he ranked No. 4 among the most searched people worldwide on Google, proving his continuing global influence.
Google Trends analysis of global male pop artists in 2024 also placed V at No. 4 worldwide, behind global superstars Drake, Eminem, and Justin Bieber.
In another ranking of most searched pop stars born in the 1990s, V placed 10th worldwide, becoming the only K-pop artist in the top 10.
Additionally, data analysis channel Reigarw Comparisons named V the most famous person in the world born in 1995, making him the only Korean figure to appear on the list.
The viral moment highlights something many fans already know is the name “V” that carries enormous global recognition.
When a single alphabet letter leads people to think of a K-pop star, it shows just how powerful that celebrity’s presence has become.
For BTS’s V, even Google seems to agree that the letter “V” belongs to him.
