Fans were met with unexpected news as nine members of THE BOYZ officially announced that their exclusive contracts have been legally terminated.
On March 19, the group’s legal representative from Yulchon Law Firm confirmed that Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, Q, Sunwoo, and Eric notified their agency of contract termination on February 10, 2026. According to the statement, the contracts are now legally ended and no longer valid.
The core reason behind the decision was described as a serious breach of contract by the agency, leading to an irreversible breakdown of trust.

The legal team revealed that after receiving settlements up to the second quarter of 2025, the members allegedly did not receive proper payments for activities from July onward. In addition, requests for basic financial transparency, including access to contract-related documents, were reportedly denied without valid reason.
The statement also pointed to reports suggesting that the agency had received large-scale advance payments tied to the group’s activities, while failing to provide clear explanations regarding unpaid settlements.

Despite the situation, the members continued their schedules, reportedly enduring ongoing uncertainty and pressure to keep their promises to fans.
It was further claimed that the agency failed to properly support not only the artists but also staff members working on-site, with some expenses allegedly left unpaid for months. The statement emphasized the emotional toll this environment placed on the members.

Even amid the dispute, the members have chosen to honor their commitments.
They confirmed that the April concert will proceed as planned, along with other previously scheduled activities. The members expressed their determination to continue performing responsibly and to repay fans for their continued support.

Notably, member New has decided to maintain his contract with the agency, following discussions with the other members.
The group stated that they respect each member’s individual decision, and will continue to explore ways to move forward while prioritizing both the team and their fans.
The legal representative concluded by urging the public and media to avoid spreading unverified speculation, and asked for continued support and encouragement for all members as they move forward in their respective paths.
