As anticipation reaches its peak for BTS’s long-awaited return, member Kim Seok-jin has shared a heartfelt message just one day before the group’s historic comeback performance in Seoul. With hundreds of thousands of fans expected to gather at Gwanghwamun, the moment is shaping up to be one of the biggest K-pop events in recent years.
On March 19, Jin took to the fan platform Weverse to reflect on the upcoming stage.

“Before we knew it, our comeback is just one day away,” he wrote. “Thanks to the support and help from so many people, we are able to hold this comeback show at Gwanghwamun.”
He continued by expressing how meaningful the location is for the group, emphasizing that being able to greet fans together again in such a symbolic place feels like an honor. Jin also reassured fans that BTS is preparing to deliver a performance worthy of the moment, promising to give their very best on stage.
BTS is set to release their fifth full-length album Arirang on March 20, marking their first full-group album since Proof in 2022. This comeback is especially significant as it reunites the group after a long hiatus, making it one of the most anticipated releases in global pop this year.

The following day, on March 21, BTS will hold a free large-scale concert titled BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG at Gwanghwamun Square, one of Seoul’s most iconic landmarks. The event is expected to draw massive attention not only from fans in Korea but also from international visitors.
Authorities have projected that up to 260,000 people could gather for the event, a number that rivals some of the largest public gatherings in South Korea since the 2002 FIFA World Cup street cheering.
In response, Jin made a direct and sincere request to fans attending the concert:
“Those who will be there in person, please make sure to stay safe.”

Given the scale of the event, safety measures and crowd control will be a major focus, with police and city officials preparing for one of the largest K-pop-related gatherings ever held in central Seoul.
This comeback is not just about new music. It represents BTS returning to the public stage in a way that connects deeply with both their roots and their fans. Choosing Gwanghwamun, a place tied to history, culture, and national identity, adds even more meaning to the moment.
With a new album, a free concert, and an entire city preparing for their return, BTS is once again proving their unmatched global influence. And as Jin’s message highlights, beyond the excitement and scale, what matters most is sharing this long-awaited moment safely with fans.
