“I Had to Do Everything Alone”

After years of performing as part of a five member group, Yuna admitted that preparing for a solo debut felt completely different.

“When we work as a group, it feels like we move as one,” she said. “But this time, I felt like I had to fill the role of all five members by myself.”

That pressure led her to spend more time preparing, experimenting with her vocals, and refining her performance. She described the process as intense, even saying she found herself “grabbing her head” in the recording studio while trying to perfect her sound.

Still, she called it a meaningful period of growth one that helped her realize just how passionate she is about her music.

The Moment That Made Her Cry

Despite the solo journey, her members were never too far away. Yuna revealed that the ITZY members was the first to hear her title track, and their reactions gave her confidence. But it was one specific moment that stood out.

“Yeji came to visit the music video set,” she said. “The moment I saw her, I started crying.”

It wasn’t planned it just happened. “I missed her so much, and seeing her come to support me gave me a lot of strength.”

Yuna also shared that the members sent a snack truck to the set during filming.

Because it was winter at the time, the truck included warm treats like bungeoppang (fish shaped pastry) and fish cake small gestures that give her strength and made a big difference during long shooting hours.

“These things gave me so much strength throughout the filming,” she said.

Fans See a Different Side of Yuna

While Yuna is often known for her bright and energetic stage presence, this story revealed a more vulnerable side one that fans are responding to. Her emotional reaction highlights how much ITZY’s bond means to her, even as she steps into a more independent phase of her career.

Yuna’s first solo mini album ‘Ice Cream’, released on March 23, marks her first solo project in seven years since debut.

The album includes four tracks, with the title song leading the release.
