BTS is back on one of America’s biggest late-night stages and this time, the energy was undeniable.
Appearing on NBC’s ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on March 26 (KST), BTS reunited with the host for the first time in five years as a full group, marking a major moment in their global comeback era.

From the very beginning, the atmosphere was electric. BTS made a surprise entrance through the audience, exchanging high fives with fans as the studio erupted. The cheers reportedly lasted over two minutes, setting the tone for a night that felt less like a TV appearance and more like an event.
Jimmy Fallon welcomed them warmly, calling the show their “second home,” highlighting the long-standing connection between BTS and the program.
During the interview, the group introduced their latest album ‘ARIRANG’, emphasizing its cultural significance. RM explained that “Arirang” represents a wide range of emotions from joy and sorrow to longing and resilience and shared that the album was created with the hope that its message would resonate universally.
The group also reflected on their recent Gwanghwamun performance, describing it as a stage where they gave everything they had, while expressing a desire to continue showing new sides of themselves.

Beyond the music, BTS showcased their signature chemistry. the members spoke candidly about missing each other during their hiatus, sharing lighthearted moments that drew laughter from both the audience and Fallon.
One playful misunderstanding when V’s comment was misheard briefly surprised the studio before turning into a shared moment of laughter, highlighting the group’s natural charm on international stages.
One of the night’s most memorable segments was dedicated to fans. Selected ARMY members were invited to record BTS’s song ‘SWIM’ in a studio setting unaware that BTS themselves were watching nearby. When the group suddenly appeared, reactions ranged from shock to tears, with some fans frozen in disbelief. The moment captured the emotional bond between BTS and their global fandom.

The highlight of the episode was BTS’s performance of ‘SWIM’, staged at the Guggenheim Museum in New York. Entering along the museum’s iconic spiral ramp, the members created a visually striking scene before moving to a central stage. With live vocals and refined choreography, the performance unfolded like a piece of art, blending movement, space, and music.
Notably, RM, who had previously performed while recovering from an ankle injury, returned to full choreography reassuring fans with his recovery.

This wasn’t just another late night performance. It was a reminder of BTS’s global presence and their ability to turn even a talk show appearance into something memorable.
