TXT Return After Contract Renewal With a Bold Message: “Now It’s Our Time”

TXT have officially kicked off a new chapter.

The group returned with a comeback showcase for their eighth mini album, 7TH YEAR: When the Wind Stopped Briefly in the Thorn Bush, marking their first full-group album release since renewing their contracts with BigHit Music last year. For both the members and their fandom, the moment carried more weight than a typical comeback.

A comeback that feels like a fresh start

Held on April 13 at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium, the showcase drew around 3,000 fans selected through an advance lottery. The event was also livestreamed through Weverse and the HYBE Labels YouTube channel, where fans from 188 countries and regions tuned in in real time another sign of the group’s broad global reach.

TXT opened the showcase with the title track “Stick With You” and immediately set the tone for the night.

With an emotional performance style and a highly addictive melody, the song quickly heated up the atmosphere inside the venue. During the talk segment that followed, the members shared behind-the-scenes stories from the album’s production process and spoke about filming the music video, which also drew attention for featuring actress Jeon Jong-seo.

But what stood out most was the group’s mindset. The members said that even after renewing their contracts, they are approaching this era with the mentality of rookies again. They added with confidence, “Now it’s TXT’s trend.” It was a simple line, but one that captured the mood of the night: not relief, not nostalgia, but renewed momentum.

Music, reflection, and seven years of growth

The showcase also highlighted TXT’s musical range.

The group performed a rearranged medley of past love songs, including “Higher Than Heaven,” and followed it with encore stages of B-side tracks such as “So What” and “Miracle,” songs that reflect the thoughts and emotions they have experienced throughout their years as a team.

The new mini album contains six tracks, including the title song, and is said to carry the members’ reflections on the past seven years. That gives the project a more personal layer, making it feel like both a comeback and a milestone release.

Promotions now begin in full

TXT will continue their comeback promotions this week, beginning with Mnet’s M Countdown on April 16 before moving on to major terrestrial music programs. Beyond music shows, the group is also preparing for a wide range of appearances across entertainment content, including YouTube programs such as Zzanbro Shin Dong-yup, ESeul Live, and Halmyungsoo, along with radio and OTT variety content.

Editor’s Insight

What makes this comeback feel more meaningful than a standard album launch is the timing. This is TXT’s first group release after renewing their contracts, which naturally turns the showcase into more than a promotional event it becomes a statement about continuity, trust, and what the group believes its next era can be. That is why the line “Now it’s our trend” stands out. It is not just confidence for a comeback cycle; it is the sound of a team trying to redefine itself not as a group protecting its place, but as one ready to push into a bigger phase.
