HYBE and Geffen Records are preparing to launch another global girl group following the success of KATSEYE, and fans are already paying close attention.

On May 12, the finale of survival project ‘World Scout: The Final Piece’ officially revealed the complete lineup for the upcoming group SAINT SATINE, confirming Japanese trainee Sakura as the fourth and final member.

She joins previously selected members Emily, Lexie, and Samara, completing the multinational lineup ahead of the group’s planned debut later this year.

Sakura Wins Final Spot After Intense Finale Battle

The final episode followed Sakura and fellow trainee Ayana as they competed for the last remaining position in the group during a live finale held at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles.

Sakura performed alongside the already-confirmed members on the unreleased track “PARTY b4 the PARTY,” impressing judges with her stage presence and difficult split choreography.

HxG chief creator Son Sung-deuk praised the trainee after the performance, saying he felt “goosebumps” watching Sakura take control of the stage.

Meanwhile, Ayana earned praise for her stable vocals and confident performance of “WE RIDE,” with judges complimenting her ability to command the audience naturally.

After lengthy discussion, the judges ultimately selected Sakura as the final member. When her name was announced, the trainee became emotional and tearfully thanked fans and staff for helping her achieve her dream.

“I wanted to become an artist who could shine on the global stage,” Sakura said after the announcement.

Why Fans Are Already Comparing Them to KATSEYE

The reveal instantly sparked discussion online, largely because SAINT SATINE is being viewed as HYBE x Geffen’s next major international girl group project following KATSEYE’s explosive global rise.

KATSEYE previously drew major attention through its blend of K-pop training systems and Western pop market strategy, becoming one of the most closely watched global idol experiments in recent years.

Now, many fans believe SAINT SATINE could continue expanding that formula.

The group’s name was also officially explained during the finale broadcast. According to the production, “SAINT SATINE” represents a combination of powerful charisma and elegant imagery.

Shortly after the announcement, the four members appeared together on stage and declared, “The puzzle is complete,” while holding hands — a moment that quickly spread across fan communities online.

A New Generation of Global Girl Groups Is Emerging

The growing attention surrounding SAINT SATINE reflects how rapidly the global idol industry is evolving.

Rather than focusing only on domestic success, companies like HYBE are increasingly building groups from the start with multinational members, international fanbases, and worldwide market strategies in mind.

And with comparisons to KATSEYE already beginning before debut, expectations are rising fast.
