A man who can read destiny through touch is about to enter the most unpredictable place of all: corporate life.
Seo In-guk and Jung Soo-jung have been confirmed to star in tvN’s upcoming drama ‘The Employee Who Sees Fate,’ a fantasy office series based on the web novel of the same name. The drama follows a man born with the fate of a shaman who tries to live as an ordinary office worker. But after joining a major company, he is pulled into a world of hidden corruption, ambition, power struggles, and dangerous secrets.
The series is scheduled to premiere in the first half of next year.

Seo In-guk will play Choi Young-hoon, a man who dreams of living a normal life despite being born with an unusual ability.
When Young-hoon holds someone’s hand, he can see that person’s saju, or traditional Korean fortune based on birth information, without needing any prior details.
After spending 25 years away from ordinary society, Young-hoon finally steps into the real world with one simple wish: to become a regular office worker. He gets a job at the major corporation Pilsan Trading, but his attempt at a peaceful life does not last long. Inside the company, Young-hoon becomes caught in a complicated web of corruption, desire, and internal power battles.
Jung Soo-jung will play Lim Yeon-hee, a woman who was pushed out of a wealthy family because of a past incident.
Yeon-hee is described as someone born with a fate surrounded by enemies. But instead of surrendering to that destiny, she charges forward with determination and sharp survival instincts.
After enduring a difficult life overseas, she returns with strong academic credentials and business skills. Her path changes when she discovers Young-hoon’s special ability.
From there, the two characters join forces and begin trying to reshape the future in their own way.

What makes ‘The Employee Who Sees Fate’ stand out is its mix of genres.
At first glance, it looks like an office drama about workers entering a corporate battlefield. But the story adds fantasy through Young-hoon’s ability to read fate and the drama’s use of Korean saju interpretation.
That combination gives the series a unique setup. Instead of solving problems only through strategy, politics, or romance, the characters must also deal with destiny itself.
The production team said Seo In-guk and Jung Soo-jung have strong synchronization with the original characters and that their chemistry will heighten the story’s appeal.
Seo In-guk has built a strong reputation for roles that mix charm, intensity, and emotional depth. His casting as a man trying to escape an extraordinary fate fits well with his ability to play characters who seem ordinary on the surface but carry hidden layers.
Jung Soo-jung, also known as Krystal, brings a sharp and composed screen presence that matches Lim Yeon-hee’s character: someone polished, wounded, and determined to survive in a hostile world.
Together, the pairing raises expectations for a drama that can balance fantasy, office tension, and emotional chemistry.

tvN’s ‘The Employee Who Sees Fate’ is currently planned to premiere in the first half of next year.
With Seo In-guk as a fate-reading office worker and Jung Soo-jung as a determined woman fighting against her own destiny, the drama is shaping up to be one of tvN’s most intriguing fantasy office stories to watch.
