Former NCT Member Mark Launches One-Person Agency Upper Room for His Next Creative Chapter

Mark is stepping into a new phase of his career, not only as an artist but as the architect of his own creative world. Former NCT member Mark has officially launched his own one-person agency, Upper Room, marking a major turning point in his journey as a musician and creator.

Announced on June 4, Upper Room is described as a creative company that will serve as the foundation for Mark’s music, vision, and future projects. Rather than functioning only as a traditional management agency, the company is expected to connect music, film, visuals, performance, and other creative content into one broader artistic direction.

Mark Builds His Own Creative Company

Upper Room was founded by Mark together with trusted colleagues he has worked with over time.

The company aims to support Mark’s creative universe in a more independent and multidimensional way. Music will remain at the center, but the agency plans to expand into various content areas, including visual storytelling and performance-based projects.

The name Upper Room carries symbolic meaning. It does not simply refer to a physical room. Instead, it represents a space where people with shared ideas gather, exchange thoughts, and discover new possibilities together.

For Mark, the company becomes both a creative base and a personal statement about how he wants to move forward.

Why Upper Room Matters for Mark’s Career

Mark has spent years building his identity as an artist with a distinct musical color, performance style, and creative voice. Now, through Upper Room, he is taking on a new challenge as both a co-representative and an independent creator.

The move is especially meaningful as he approaches his late twenties. After years inside a familiar system, Mark is now choosing to shape his own direction more directly. That makes Upper Room more than a business launch. It represents a new life chapter for Mark as an artist and as an individual deciding how to define his future.

Announcement Film Highlights Human Creativity

Along with the launch, Upper Room released an announcement film on June 3.

The film was inspired by the era of 15th-century metal movable type, using that historical motif to reflect on the value of human-made creation in a rapidly changing technological environment.

One notable detail is that the visuals were made without using AI-generated images. Instead, every visual element was created directly, reinforcing Upper Room’s message about respecting creators and preserving the value of human hands in the creative process.

The choice gives the launch a more philosophical tone. Upper Room is not only presenting a new agency. It is also suggesting what kind of creative attitude it wants to protect.

Visual Films Build a Larger Story

In addition to the announcement film, Upper Room also released visual films titled ‘Written’ and ‘The Wind.’ These films are expected to connect with four additional visual films scheduled to be released sequentially on June 4, eventually forming one larger narrative.

Each video follows the emotions of a young man standing at the beginning of something new. Anxiety, expectation, questions, and conviction appear to overlap throughout the visuals, creating a story about growth and transition.

Although each film may seem separate at first, they are designed to come together as one journey.

Mark’s New Beginning With Upper Room

Upper Room’s launch suggests that Mark is preparing to expand beyond the usual boundaries of idol activity.

His future projects may not be limited to music releases alone. With the company’s focus on sound, visuals, performance, and storytelling, Mark appears ready to build a more complete creative identity under his own direction. For fans, the announcement signals a new era. For Mark, it marks the beginning of a path where he can define not only what he creates, but also how that creation is presented to the world.

Upper Room is the starting point of that next chapter.
