Multi-talented superstar Lee Junho is proving his unmatched versatility in the entertainment industry as he successfully balances major acting accolades, record-breaking stadium concerts, and a fresh start with a brand-new management agency. In an exclusive interview featured in the July 2026 issue of @star1 magazine, the 2PM member opened up about his jam-packed schedule, his dramatic physical transformation for his next Netflix project, and his deep emotions regarding 2PM’s recent historic reunion.

Lee Junho recently dominated the prestigious ASEA 2026 (Asia Star Entertainer Awards), making history by walking away with a definitive double crown. He successfully took home both “The Best Character (Male Actor)” for his brilliant television performances and “The Best Artist” trophy for his contributions to music. Reflecting on his major victories during his photoshoot with @star1, where staff heavily praised his smooth charisma and intense gaze as a true pictorial master, Junho shared:
“This was my very first time attending the Asia Star Entertainer Awards, so being honored with such significant awards was an absolute privilege. Moving forward, I will continuously work hard to greet everyone frequently through amazing acting projects and spectacular live stages.”
As a singer, the milestone of celebrating 2PM’s 15th anniversary since their official Japanese debut held deep emotional weight. This past May, the legendary group successfully wrapped up their highly anticipated reunion concert, “THE RETURN,” at the massive Tokyo Dome, performing in front of a staggering crowd of 85,000 fans. The show marked their very first full-group concert in two years and seven months, and their historic return to the Tokyo Dome stage after a full decade away.

Junho described the experience as overwhelming, noting that the second he stepped onto the stage, intense gratitude and joy rushed over him simultaneously. He stated that he could deeply feel how patiently the audience had waited to see all six members perform together again, which kept him constantly reminding himself of how precious every single second on that stage truly was. He capped off his thoughts with a special message to domestic supporters, promising that the group is currently pouring all their energy into preparing for a massive Korean comeback concert scheduled for August 2026.
Turning to his thriving acting career, Lee Junho is currently gearing up to showcase a completely different side of himself through the upcoming highly anticipated Netflix original series, Viking. He takes on the complex role of Han Ji-yeol, a cold-hearted, highly rational strategist who happens to be a third-generation tycoon heir.
To separate this role from his wildly successful character Gu Won in the hit rom-com King the Land, Junho has gone to great lengths, including undergoing a strict weight loss routine:
This exciting new chapter follows a major business transition for the star. After spending a historic 17 years under his debut agency, JYP Entertainment, Lee Junho officially parted ways with the label to sign an exclusive contract with O3 Collective.
Addressing the agency change, Junho honestly shared that he currently feels a completely different level of responsibility resting on his shoulders. He explained that he still considers himself in a learning phase, but he is genuinely enjoying experimenting with new perspectives and gathering fresh experiences alongside his new team. When asked if his relentless schedule ever becomes exhausting, the star smiled and explained that moving quickly through back-to-back projects does not drain him; instead, the constant shifting between music and acting serves as his ultimate source of daily motivation and energy.
