Choi Mina-sue turned an unfamiliar fashion mission into a moment of growth, proving her confidence and positive energy on tvN’s fashion survival show ‘Kill It.’
The model and entertainer appeared in episode 5 of ‘Kill It,’ which aired on June 9, as part of the White Label team. The episode featured the first main-round mission, where contestants were asked to complete a look under the theme of “low cost.”
With only 500,000 won per label and roughly 80,000 won per contestant, each participant had to create a complete styling concept while staying within a tight budget. For White Label, that meant heading to a warehouse-style vintage shop to search for affordable but eye-catching pieces.

The challenge was especially meaningful for Choi Mina-sue because it marked her first time styling herself with vintage clothing.
When she entered the vintage shop, she was visibly surprised by the huge amount of clothing. She honestly admitted that she had never bought or worn vintage items before, adding that she felt worried because she had to prepare an entire outfit from head to toe.
Although the environment was unfamiliar, Choi Mina-sue did not stay overwhelmed for long. After searching through the racks and considering different directions, she eventually created a Western-inspired look that reflected her own personality.
The result showed her ability to adapt quickly, even when facing a style category she had never tried before.
Choi Mina-sue’s background as a model became one of her strongest advantages during the mission.
Once the styling was complete, she showed confidence in front of the camera with strong poses and expressive movement. Her Western look came to life through her ability to understand angles, mood, and visual storytelling.
She also worked closely with fellow White Label member Seo-hyun, helping each other during the shoot and creating a natural sense of teamwork. Their cooperation helped the team build stronger results despite the limited budget.

Choi Mina-sue also drew attention for the way she supported her teammates.
When Kim Na-ra struggled during the content shoot, Choi Mina-sue quickly noticed the situation and stepped in with encouragement. She reminded Kim Na-ra that she could still make an impact through her poses and urged her to continue shooting.
Kim Na-ra later shared that she had been close to panicking, but Choi Mina-sue’s words helped her regain focus. Choi Mina-sue then personally helped with the shoot from several angles, allowing Kim Na-ra to complete her content successfully.
The exchange became one of the warmer moments of the episode, showing that Choi Mina-soo was not only focused on her own ranking but also on helping the team move forward together.
The teamwork did not go in only one direction.
Kim Na-ra also helped Choi Mina-sue by suggesting a shooting location that matched her Western-style outfit. The two supported each other throughout the mission, creating a friendly and collaborative atmosphere within the White Label team.
Their interaction highlighted one of the key themes of the episode: survival competition may be intense, but teamwork can still become an important part of the process.

After the mission, contestants learned that social media “likes” would count toward the final ranking.
Although Choi Mina-sue said she is not usually very active on social media, she still threw herself into promotion. She shared stories and even sent posts to her parents, showing how seriously she took the mission.
In the final results, which combined public evaluation and contestant voting, Choi Mina-sue received 4,541 likes and placed eighth in the first main-round mission.
Choi Mina-soo’s performance in the mission showed more than just fashion sense.
She took on a style she had never tried before, adapted under pressure, helped teammates, and showed her signature positive energy throughout the episode. Her first vintage challenge became a chance to reveal her flexibility, confidence, and strong attitude.
With an eighth-place finish in the first main mission, Choi Mina-sue made a clear impression on ‘Kill It.’ Her next steps on the show are now drawing more attention as viewers look forward to seeing how she continues to grow in future missions.
