Kim Yong Bin, 'Mr. Trot 3' First Place... Reveals Tearful Memories for Grandmother

Kim Yong Bin appeared on KBS 1TV’s ’Morning Yard’ to communicate with fans and share personal stories. The broadcast was held with the concept of a midsummer lively music concert, featuring Kim Yong Bin, Son Bin Ah, Cheon Rok Dam (Lee Jung), Chun Gil, Choi Jae Myeong, Nam Seung-min, and Choo Hyeokjin. Kim Yong Bin said, ″I am a rookie in variety shows. I made chick sounds on KBS 2TV’s ’Pyeonstorang,’″ and demonstrated a chick sound impression. Chun Gil and Cheon Rok Dam also created cheerful scenes related to chicken sounds. During the broadcast, Kim Yong Bin revealed for the first time the news of holding a solo concert in September. He said, ″I’m saying this for the first time today. I will hold a solo concert in September. The date is already set. I plan to hold it on my birthday.″ Additionally, Kim Yong Bin mentioned that the first stage he ever stood on before debut was on ’Morning Yard,’ recalling memories with his late grandmother. He said, ″It was my first time on a public broadcast stage. The first time I came here with my grandmother, I felt a bit emotional. It feels like home.″ He shared that his grandmother loved singing and used to sing at the beauty salon, and he would listen and sing along. He added that his grandmother’s favorite song was Lee Mi-ja’s ″Dongbaek Agassi.″ Kim Yong Bin revealed that his grandmother passed away before seeing him audition and that her wish was for him to participate in ’Mr. Trot 2.’ He said he appeared on ’Mr. Trot 3’ to fulfill his grandmother’s wish. Kim Yong Bin won first place in ’Mr. Trot 3’ and expressed regret that he could not visit his grandmother’s grave on her anniversary in June. Instead, he shared a video of visiting her grave before the anniversary, saying he placed a tombstone next to the grave and brought food. Finally, Kim Yong Bin said to his grandmother, ″Because you helped me, I think I am doing well thanks to you. Even though I am this busy and tired, I have never been sick. I haven’t even caught a cold once. I want to say thank you because I think you are helping me do everything, and I miss you. I miss you very much.″
