NewJeans releases 4th anniversary video... 'Daniel excluded' 4 members return announcement

NewJeans celebrated their 4th debut anniversary by releasing new videos as a four-member group for the first time in 1 year and 4 months. At midnight on the 22nd, a total of five pieces of content, including a group video featuring members Minji, Hyein, Hani, and Haerin, as well as individual videos, were uploaded on the official NewJeans YouTube channel. These videos were produced to commemorate NewJeans’s 4th anniversary since their debut on July 22, 2022, and were also released on the team’s official account along with photos of the four-member lineup. NewJeans had suspended activities for a long period due to a dispute with their agency ADORE after their Hong Kong performance in March last year, and declared contract termination in November 2024. After the court ruled in favor of ADORE in October last year, the members returned to the agency around the end of the year. Daniel received a contract termination notice in December last year due to responsibility for leaving the team and did not appear in the recent videos. ADORE stated, ″We gathered the hearts of the members who want to celebrate the debut day together with the fans who have been waiting for a long time,″ and described the content as ″commemorative content produced to enjoy with fans on NewJeans’s 4th debut anniversary.″ They also explained, ″Specific activity plans and methods for NewJeans will be announced after discussions are fully completed.″ NewJeans gained attention at debut without teaser videos or promotions and became popular domestically and internationally with numerous songs such as ″Attention,″ ″Hype Boy,″ ″Ditto,″ ″OMG,″ ″Super Shy,″ ″ETA,″ ″How Sweet,″ and ″Supernatural.″ They also hold the record as the second K-pop girl group to reach number one on the US Billboard 200 album chart.
