Cortis 'Green Green' surpasses 3.09 million copies in 11 weeks... Second album this year to exceed 3 million copies after BTS

CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhun, Seonghyeon, Geonho) has surpassed 3 million cumulative album sales with their second mini-album ’GREENGREEN.’ Big Hit Music announced on July 23 that according to the latest weekly album chart by Circle Chart (compiled from July 12 to 18), the cumulative sales of ’GREENGREEN’ reached approximately 3,099,000 copies. The album was released on May 4, selling over 1.2 million copies on the day of release according to Hanteo Chart, and surpassed 2 million copies within four days. The initial week sales (first week after release) totaled 2,313,291 copies, which is more than five times the 436,367 copies sold of their first mini-album ’COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES.’ This year, only two albums have recorded cumulative sales exceeding 3 million copies domestically: BTS’s 5th full-length album ’ARIRANG’ and CORTIS’s ’GREENGREEN.’ The mini 1st album ’COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES,’ released last year, surpassed 2.15 million copies according to Circle Chart, and CORTIS has sold a combined total of 5.25 million copies with two albums within 11 months of their debut. They have also achieved notable success overseas. ’GREENGREEN’ ranked 3rd on the US Billboard main album chart ’Billboard 200’ (May 23 issue), becoming the only boy group that debuted within the last five years to enter the ’Top 3.’ They have maintained this ranking for 10 consecutive weeks. Additionally, as of July 20, the cumulative streams of the tracks from the second mini-album on the global streaming platform Spotify have exceeded 300 million. CORTIS is currently on their debut tour ’PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN,’ and from August 4 to 16, they will hold solo concerts in six North American cities, including Toronto, Canada, and San Francisco, USA. Prior to this, on July 31 and August 1, they will perform at ’Lollapalooza Chicago,’ marking them as the only K-pop boy group participating in this festival this year.
