Two Chinese women unlawfully entered the group CORTIS’s residence and were arrested by the police. The Yongsan Police Station in Seoul announced that on the 23rd at around 2 a.m., two Chinese women who unlawfully entered the CORTIS residence were booked on charges of trespassing and are under investigation. The manager discovered damaged packages at the front door and the entrance door left open, reported it to the police, and the responding officers arrested the suspects on the spot as they were hiding on another floor inside the building. During the police investigation, the women reportedly stated that they ″purchased the residence address through social networking services (SNS),″ but they denied the charges of damaging packages and entering the residence. This incident occurred amid ongoing controversies involving sasaeng fans surrounding CORTIS. The agency Big Hit Music previously stated that privacy violations such as unauthorized entry into residences by some sasaeng fans and attaching GPS devices to vehicles have been repeated, and declared that they would take legal action without any leniency. However, the residence intrusion incident occurred even after the legal warning. Additionally, with statements that the residence address was traded online, the need for investigation into personal information leaks and illegal transactions has also been raised. Jungkook of the group BTS was also involved in a case last year shortly after his military discharge, where a Chinese woman attempted to break into his home by repeatedly entering the door password and was caught by the police.
