Seo In-young loses 15kg before Waterbomb and undergoes arm liposuction "Decided because arm fat wouldn't go away"

Seo In-young revealed that she underwent arm liposuction surgery ahead of her Waterbomb stage performance in Sokcho next month. In a recent video released on her YouTube channel ″Reformed Seo In-young,″ Seo In-young appeared with bruises on her face and arms. In the video, Seo In-young said, ″I am making every effort to become prettier. I received a booster that improves skin on my face. I had liposuction on my arms. I am dieting very strictly, but the fat on my arms just wouldn’t go away. The bruises are fading. The back fat is gone, and the lines have been refined.″ She added, ″I have bet my life on the Waterbomb performance. I spent all my appearance fees on the procedure. This is a self-paid appearance.″ Seo In-young stated that although she succeeded in losing 15 kg, the fat on her arms did not reduce well through exercise, so she chose liposuction. Liposuction is a surgery that directly removes fat cells from specific areas. For the arms, it involves making 3 to 5 mm incisions inside the armpit or around the elbow, injecting a tumescent solution, and inserting a thin cannula to suction out the fat. The surgery usually takes about 1 to 2 hours, and if multiple areas are treated simultaneously, the time may be longer. Arm liposuction can be performed under local anesthesia, but general anesthesia is sometimes chosen when both arms are operated on simultaneously, when a large amount of fat is removed, or to reduce the patient’s pain and anxiety. After surgery, bruising, swelling, and pain are common. Generally, bruises improve within 2 to 4 weeks, and swelling subsides over several weeks to months. Specialists explain that liposuction is a surgery to contour the body rather than for weight loss. Although removed fat cells do not regenerate, remaining fat cells can enlarge, so diet and exercise management are necessary after surgery. Common side effects include bruising, swelling, pain, temporary sensory loss, and uneven skin surface. Rare complications may include infection, bleeding, hematoma, thrombosis, fat embolism, and anesthesia-related complications. Arm fat is difficult to selectively remove through targeted exercises alone. Experts advise that reducing overall body fat is the priority. They recommend a daily calorie deficit of about 300 to 500 kcal, protein intake, 150 to 300 minutes of aerobic exercise per week, and strength training to strengthen the triceps to help improve arm lines. Due to genetic factors, some people choose liposuction when arm fat remains despite significant weight loss. Meanwhile, Seo In-young revealed that she received a skin-improving booster treatment on her face. This procedure often refers to a ″skin booster″ treatment that injects moisturizing and regenerative ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, PN, PDRN, amino acids, and vitamins in micro amounts to improve skin hydration and radiance. After the procedure, needle marks, temporary swelling, and bruising may occur. The popularly known ″Cinderella shot″ involves intravenous administration of alpha-lipoic acid and is performed to improve fatigue and provide antioxidant effects, but there is insufficient medical evidence supporting its skin beautifying effects.
