BTS member Jungkook publicly shared positive impressions after watching the movie ’Hope.’ On the 27th, Jungkook posted on his Instagram, ″Hope is fun.″ On the same day, during a live broadcast with fans, he also mentioned the movie, saying, ″Hope was so fun. I really enjoyed watching it.″ He added, ″I watched it in 4DX and had a great time,″ and said, ″There were so many chaotic and fun parts, and I clenched my fists while watching the chase scenes.″ He also said, ″There may be ARMYs (the fandom) who haven’t seen it yet, but the vividness and speed were insane. I had a great time watching it today.″ Regarding his experience of going to the movie theater alone, Jungkook said, ″Going to watch a movie alone is really fun, a bit exciting, and not bad at all. I think I’ll go alone more often.″ Director Na Hong-jin of ’Hope’ responded after seeing Jungkook’s SNS post by sharing it on his Instagram story. Broadcaster Yoo Byung-jae also left a comment saying, ″Hope is fun,″ but it is known that it did not reach Director Na Hong-jin. The movie ’Hope’ is an SF action thriller set in Hopohang, located in the Demilitarized Zone. It follows Beom-seok (Hwang Jung-min), the head of the village outpost, who receives a report of a tiger sighting and sets out to search. The film creatively highlights misunderstandings and differing perspectives between humans and alien entities. Without relying on computer graphics, the cast performed high-level stunt acting themselves to complete the intense action scenes. The cast includes domestic actors such as Hwang Jung-min, Jo In-sung, and Jung Ho-yeon, as well as international actors Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander, Taylor Russell, and Cameron Britton. It is the new work of director Na Hong-jin, known for ’The Chaser’ and ’The Wailing,’ released after 10 years. According to the Korea Film Council’s integrated computer network, as of the 28th, ’Hope’ maintained its number one position at the box office by attracting 103,411 viewers the previous day. The cumulative audience reached 3,519,112. It held the top spot for 13 days since its release and surpassed 3 million viewers on the 11th day, setting the shortest record among films released this year. During the same period, ’Minions & Monsters’ recorded 21,402 viewers per day, with a cumulative total of 584,365. Meanwhile, Jungkook’s solo album ’GOLDEN’ title track ’Standing Next to You’ surpassed 1.5 billion cumulative streams on Spotify as of the 27th. This is his second song to reach 1.5 billion streams, following ’Seven (feat. Latto).’
