BTS V releases video of Seong-Jin Cho playing piano... passionate performance of 'Misty'

BTS V shared a piano performance video filmed by pianist Seong-Jin Cho on his Instagram story. In this video, V played the jazz standard ″Misty,″ composed by Erroll Garner in 1954, and the window reflected V filming Seong-Jin Cho’s performance of Chopin’s Ballade No. 4. V began the performance by slowly placing his fingers on the piano keys while quoting the phrase ″It’s already started..″. Seong-Jin Cho also used the phrase ″It’s already started″ when performing Chopin’s Ballade No. 4. After releasing his first studio album in November 2016, Seong-Jin Cho explained in a masterclass interview about the scene where the left hand slowly moves through the air before touching the keys, saying, ″We don’t start this, it’s already started.″ This statement means that the flow of air and tension before producing sound are also part of the music. V has revealed that he is practicing piano and said in the ending remarks of the April ″Arirang Tour″ Goyang concert, ″I am looking for a piano teacher.″ In a 2019 live broadcast, he mentioned being a fan of Seong-Jin Cho, saying, ″I often watch Seong-Jin Cho’s videos. If I get the chance, I want to attend his concert.″ In June, he attended Seong-Jin Cho’s recital with director Park Chan-wook, and in July, he posted a photo taken outdoors on a bench with Son Heung-min and Seong-Jin Cho, along with a message celebrating Son Heung-min’s birthday. Seong-Jin Cho also attended V’s military discharge celebration party with director Park Chan-wook and Peggy Gou.
