HYBE reports Q2 revenue of 1.45 trillion KRW and operating profit of 170.9 billion KRW, marking the highest quarterly record ever

HYBE recorded its highest-ever quarterly revenue and operating profit in the second quarter of this year. On the 28th, HYBE announced that its consolidated second-quarter revenue reached 1.45 trillion won, and operating profit was 170.9 billion won. These figures represent increases of 105.5% and 159.3%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. Net profit rose by 613% to 109.8 billion won. This is the first time quarterly revenue has exceeded 1 trillion won and operating profit has surpassed 100 billion won. Cumulative revenue for the first half of the year also exceeded 2 trillion won for the first time. This performance was largely driven by BTS’s release of their fifth full-length album ″Arirang″ and the world tour that began in April. ″Arirang″ ranked first in CD and LP sales in the United States, and according to U.S. music market analytics firm Luminate, it sold 208,000 vinyl records in its first week in the U.S. This is the highest number among contemporary groups since 1991. HYBE stated, ″BTS’s world tour has generated significant economic effects wherever the concerts are held, even coining the new term ’BTS-nomics.’″ BTS held a free comeback performance titled ″BTS Comeback Live: Arirang″ at Gwanghwamun Square on March 21 and appeared in the halftime show of the World Cup final on the 20th. The activities of all HYBE artists were also remarkable. Various teams including Tomorrow X Together (TXT), Enhypen, &TEAM, Boy Next Door, TWS, Curtis, LE SSERAFIM, and Cats Eye surpassed 1 million album sales in the first half of the year. According to Luminate’s data, five albums by HYBE artists ranked in the top 10 U.S. CD sales in the first half of this year. Rookie group Cats Eye won three awards, including New Artist of the Year, at the May 2026 American Music Awards. Curtis recorded cumulative sales of 5.25 million with their first and second mini albums. In the performance sector, second-quarter concert revenue reached 647.7 billion won, and album and digital music sales totaled 326.8 billion won. Indirect participation revenue such as MD and licensing also hit a quarterly record of 310.6 billion won. Twelve HYBE teams held 119 concerts in the first half of the year, with over 200 scheduled for the second half. Enhypen held their first stadium concert in South America, and LE SSERAFIM is continuing their world tour across Japan, North America, Europe, and Asia. Boy Next Door, Cats Eye, and Curtis are also conducting their own world tours. Weverse, the fan platform, set a new record with 14.43 million monthly active users in the second quarter. Total payment amount increased by 12% compared to the previous quarter, and average payment per paying user rose by 24%. HYBE CEO Lee Jae-sang stated, ″HYBE has proven through its performance that it is a company redefining the global entertainment market in the second quarter of this year and functioning as a core export infrastructure of South Korea’s cultural industry. These results are the outcome of continuous efforts for business innovation, and we will continue to pursue expansion and growth strategies going forward.″
