Jungkook 'GOLDEN' enters Spotify 142 weeks · Longest solo record in Asia

BTS Jungkook set the record as the first Asian solo artist and for the longest duration by entering the Spotify ’Weekly Top Albums Global’ chart for 142 weeks with his first solo album ’GOLDEN.’ Jungkook’s ’GOLDEN’ ranked 152nd on the Spotify ’Weekly Top Albums Global’ chart for the week of July 17 to 23. On Spotify, it surpassed 7.3 billion cumulative streams, the highest among Asian artists’ full-length albums. The album also re-entered the iTunes Worldwide Album Chart at 135th place as of July 28, marking a total of 522 days on the chart. Since its release, it has ranked number one on the iTunes album charts in 106 countries and regions, and held the number one spot on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart for 14 days. It also topped the European iTunes Album Chart for more than seven days. On the UK Official Main Album Chart ’Top 100,’ it stayed for eight weeks, the first time for a K-pop solo artist’s album. Jungkook achieved a total of 11 million album sales (EAS) with ’GOLDEN,’ continuing the record for the highest sales by a K-pop solo artist. Additionally, Jungkook’s personal Spotify account has reached a total of 11.2 billion streams based on all credits, making him the fastest Asian artist and the first K-pop solo artist to achieve this milestone.
