BTS Jimin World Cup final shirt sold at auction for $110,000... a total of $650,000 raised

The shirt worn by BTS member Jimin during the halftime show of the 2026 North American World Cup final was sold for the highest price of $110,000 (approximately 159 million KRW) at a charity auction. The auction, conducted by Christie’s, was held online for seven days, attracting collectors from 24 countries worldwide and raising a total of $652,630 (approximately 943.7 million KRW). Seven items worn and used by BTS members during the final’s halftime show were sold for $300,300 (approximately 434.32 million KRW), accounting for about 46% of the total auction proceeds. By BTS member, V’s scarf and Jungkook’s jacket sold for $46,200 and $33,000 respectively, Suga’s pants for $28,600, J-Hope’s gloves for $19,800, RM’s boots for $19,800, and Jin’s belt for $16,500. Along with Jimin’s shirt, the highest-priced items included a soccer ball actually used in the final. Other notable items included a signed jersey gifted by Lionel Messi to Shakira, sold for $66,000, goalkeeper gloves worn and signed by Madonna during the opening performance for $41,800, and Justin Bieber’s sneakers for $26,400. All proceeds from this auction will be donated to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which will be used to provide quality education and create opportunities for children in underprivileged areas to participate in soccer.
