BTS sells out the second North American tour date at MetLife Stadium... 157,000 fans passionately sing along

BTS began the second North American leg of the world tour ″Arirang″ at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, USA. This performance took place just two weeks after they shared the stage at the same stadium as co-headliners for the halftime show of the ″2026 FIFA North and Central America World Cup″ final on the 19th of last month. It was their return to the MetLife Stadium stage after about 7 years and 2 months since the ″LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOURSELF″ tour in May 2019. The concerts were sold out for every show, with approximately 157,000 attendees over two days. The stadium was filled with BTS’s official light sticks, ARMY Bombs, the key red color of their fifth studio album ″Arirang,″ and outfits reinterpreting traditional hanbok. Throughout the performance, the audience sang along to the Korean lyrics, and large-scale sing-alongs of ″Aliens,″ the title track ″SWIM,″ and the Korean folk song ″Arirang″ took place. Towards the end of the concert, a flower-shaped placard event prepared by fans was held, and the members responded with bright smiles. A grand fireworks display accompanied the final song, ″Into the Sun.″ BTS shared their thoughts, saying, ″The start of the second North American tour is going well. With the energy from this performance, I believe we can work hard for the remaining tours. We will always strive to show our best for those who bring us great happiness. We will never take your love for granted. We are always thankful and love you.″ About 30 major media outlets from Korea and the United States attended the concert, competing for coverage, and American hip-hop musician Nas visited the venue. On stage, RM said, ″It feels really amazing to perform in front of an idol from my teenage years.″ The ″BTS THE CITY ARIRANG - NEW YORK″ project was also held in connection with the concert. The Rockefeller Center observation deck, ″Top of the Rock,″ was wrapped with the ″Arirang″ album logo, and BTS’s music was played. A special menu related to BTS was offered at the internal restaurant. A DIY T-shirt experience space was set up at Grand Central Terminal. BTS will continue the tour on the 5th and 6th at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, USA. They will be recorded as the first Korean artist to hold a solo concert at Gillette Stadium.
