Lim Young Woong fan club donates 250 million KRW in scholarships and 8.8 million KRW in charity for neighbors to celebrate 10th debut anniversary

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of singer Lim Young Woong’s debut, the nationwide fan club Hero Era and the Hero Era Busan Volunteer Group each donated scholarship funds and contributions to help neighbors. The nationwide Hero Era established the ’Woong Dream Scholarship’ worth 250 million KRW to commemorate Lim Young Woong’s 10th debut anniversary. This scholarship was funded by donations collected from fan club members in 32 regions nationwide and will be awarded to about 200 students selected across the country to support their studies and dreams. The ’Hero10; Our 10 Nationwide Hero Era Generous Donation Ceremony’ took place on July 31 at Nurimaru APEC House in Haeundae, Busan. Lim Young Woong and Hero Era have consistently engaged in donations and volunteer activities, and this scholarship donation is an extension of their social contribution efforts. A representative of the nationwide Hero Era said, ″The past 10 years with Lim Young Woong have been a time to learn and share love and hope,″ adding, ″We hope this Woong Dream Scholarship will become a small seed for youth to blossom into beautiful dreams in the future. We will continue to spread positive influence worldwide together with Lim Young Woong.″ Meanwhile, members of the Hero Era Busan Volunteer Group donated 8.8 million KRW to the Busan Community Chest of Korea (Busan Love Fruit) on August 8, Lim Young Woong’s debut day, to help neighbors in need. Of this amount, 4 million KRW was designated and donated to the Hope Regional Children’s Center located in Jung-gu, and the remaining 4.8 million KRW will be used to support disadvantaged neighbors in Busan. The donation ceremony held in the main conference room of Busan Love Fruit was attended by 10 members of the Hero Era Busan Volunteer Group and Deputy Director Lee Kyung-hoon. The Hero Era Busan Volunteer Group is registered as the 2nd Good Fan Club and the 25th Sharing Leaders Club of Busan Love Fruit, with cumulative donations reaching 68.96 million KRW to date. Members stated, ″To celebrate the precious 10th anniversary of the singer’s first step into the world, we wanted to fill the past 10 years not just with simple congratulations but with greater love and sharing.″ Deputy Director Lee Kyung-hoon said, ″The steady efforts of the Hero Era Busan Volunteer Group, who never forget to practice neighborly love on anniversaries, demonstrate exemplary values of fandom culture,″ adding, ″We will carefully deliver the donated funds so that they become a great help to neighbors in need.″
