Singer Hwang Young Woong donated 1.5 million won raised through fan participation to the Dongbang Social Welfare Association. This donation was the prize money for winning the King of Singers competition on the donation platform ’Good Star’, which fans earned through their support activities and donated in the name of Hwang Young Woong. The Dongbang Social Welfare Association announced that Hwang Young Woong delivered the sponsorship funds to support rehabilitation treatment for children and adolescents with disabilities. Including this donation, Hwang Young Woong’s cumulative donations through Good Star have reached a total of 62.28 million won. Hwang Young Woong and the official fan club ’PARADISE’ have continuously engaged in fan-participatory donation activities. The donated funds will be used for developmental rehabilitation treatment costs for children and adolescents with disabilities under the care of the Dongbang Social Welfare Association who require ongoing treatment and rehabilitation. The association stated that through support for treatment costs, they plan to help children and adolescents with disabilities receive necessary rehabilitation services stably. Meanwhile, the Dongbang Social Welfare Association, established in 1972, is a specialized social welfare organization that operates welfare projects for children and adolescents, single-parent families, people with disabilities, the elderly, and Filipino-Kopino families.
