Cats Eye's new song "Animal" ranks 24th on the US Billboard Hot 100... five consecutive songs charted

The girl group KATSEYE has entered the US Billboard main singles chart, the Hot 100, at number 24 with their new song ″Animal.″ With this achievement, KATSEYE has placed five consecutive songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart: ″Gnarly,″ ″Gabriela,″ ″Internet Girl,″ ″PINKY UP,″ and ″Animal.″ Including ″ICONIC BY MISTAKE,″ a collaboration with Aileit and LE SSERAFIM, a total of six songs have charted. The number 24 position of ″Animal″ surpasses the previous debut highest rank of 28 set by ″PINKY UP″ in April. ″Animal″ is an upbeat pop track themed around the instinct and wildness hidden within. The world-renowned singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran participated in composing the song. It ranked 10th and 12th on the Billboard Global 200 and Global (excluding US) charts, respectively, and achieved 9th on Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global, 8th in the US, and 5th on the Daily Top Songs Global chart (as of August 2). KATSEYE is a multinational girl group created through a joint venture between HYBE and US-based Geffen Records, debuting in the US in 2024 through the global audition project ″The Debut: Dream Academy.″ They are active based on HYBE chairman Bang Si-hyuk’s ″Multi-home, multi-genre″ strategy and K-pop methodology. They won three awards at the 2026 American Music Awards, including ″New Artist of the Year,″ and were nominated in two categories at the 68th Grammy Awards. KATSEYE’s third mini-album, ″WILD,″ is scheduled for release on August 14.
