Lim Young Woong 10th anniversary debut, fan club's continuous donations... total of 433.08 million KRW, scholarships, and support for low-income families

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of singer Lim Young Woong’s debut, fan clubs have engaged in various donation activities. The Lim Young Woong fan club ’Hero Era Daegu Starlight Study Room’ donated 10 million KRW to the ’D.F Scholarship Foundation’ for children of brain-dead organ donors. This fan club began providing scholarships in 2023 and has continued donations for four consecutive years, with a total accumulated donation amount reaching 31 million KRW. A representative stated, ″We participated in the donation to celebrate singer Lim Young Woong’s 10th debut anniversary together and to give back to society by sharing the comfort and inspiration the singer has given us.″ They also expressed support for the donor children to grow into heroes who brighten society like Lim Young Woong. Another fan club, ’Hero Era Yeosu Starlight Room,’ donated 5 million KRW in joint fundraising to support low-income vulnerable groups in Mipyeong-dong, Yeosu City. This fund was voluntarily raised by members and has been conducted for two consecutive years following last year. The donation will be used to support vulnerable groups in welfare blind spots through the Mipyeong-dong Administrative Welfare Center and the Jeollanam-do Social Welfare Community Chest. A representative of Hero Era Yeosu Starlight Room said, ″To celebrate Lim Young Woong’s 10th debut anniversary more meaningfully, we practiced sharing in Mipyeong-dong together with our members.″ Kang Hyung-guk, the private chairman of the Mipyeong-dong Community Security Council, and Jung Myung-sook, the head of Mipyeong-dong, also expressed gratitude for the fan club’s two consecutive years of donations. Meanwhile, the Hero Era Band Sharing Group will deliver a donation of 10 million KRW to Yonsei Medical Center on August 8th to commemorate Lim Young Woong’s 10th debut anniversary. This donation will be used to cover medical expenses for pediatric and adolescent patients and to support the living expenses of families facing economic difficulties due to caring for sick children. Yoon Young-nam, director of external cooperation at Yonsei Medical Center, said, ″We deeply appreciate the Hero Era Band Sharing Group for continuously sending warm hearts of sharing since 2020.″ The Hero Era Band Sharing Group has also been volunteering monthly with lunchbox services in the Dongja-dong shantytown since May 2020, and including this donation, their total contributions to Yonsei Medical Center amount to 70 million KRW, with total cumulative donations reaching 433.08 million KRW.
