Lee Chan-won, Donated 1 million KRW prize money from the King of Singers competition to pediatric cancer patient treatment costs

Lee Chan-won donated the 1 million won prize money received from the Seonhan Star King of Kings competition to the treatment costs of children with cancer. The Korea Childhood Cancer Foundation announced on the 6th that the prize money from the July Seonhan Star King of Kings competition was delivered in the name of Lee Chan-won. According to the foundation, the donation will be used to support medical treatment costs for children and adolescents suffering from childhood cancer, leukemia, and rare incurable diseases. It will be utilized for necessary expenses during the treatment process, such as surgery, transplantation, purchase of rare medicines, and medical assistive devices. The medical expense support program targets children and adolescents under the age of 25 who developed the disease before the age of 19, and the foundation explained that it provides timely financial support to prevent treatment interruption due to economic difficulties. It offers practical help to patients and families struggling with long-term treatment and high medical costs. The cumulative donations delivered by Lee Chan-won and fans through Seonhan Star have reached 80.57 million won. The continuous voting and support from fans lead to monthly donations, spreading positive influence through Seonhan Star.
