Singer Lim Young Woong celebrated the 10th anniversary of their debut on August 8. Lim Young Woong, who debuted on August 8, 2016, gained recognition by winning the grand prize on TV Chosun’s ″Mr. Trot″ and expanded their activities across various genres including trot, ballads, OSTs, pop, and folk. Lim Young Woong has won 134 official trophies and secured first place on multiple music shows. As of July 18, they recorded a cumulative 14.2 billion streams on Melon, ranking first among all domestic artists. Their released songs also entered the top ranks on various music streaming platforms. In the album category, the first full-length album ″IM HERO,″ released on May 2, 2022, sold 940,000 copies within one day and set a record for the highest first-week sales of 1.14 million copies by a solo artist. The second full-length album ″IM HERO 2″ will be produced as a physical package in the form of an album book rather than a CD. The live concert film ″IM HERO THE FINAL″ surpassed 250,000 cumulative viewers according to the integrated box office system for movie theater tickets. Released on August 28, 2024, ″Lim Young Woong│IM HERO THE STADIUM″ was the first live concert film to open simultaneously in IMAX and ScreenX special theaters, recording approximately 350,000 cumulative viewers. Over the past four years, Lim Young Woong has held 81 nationwide tours and solo concerts, achieving sold-out seats for every show. During this period, the cumulative audience reached 910,148. Including the concert in Goyang next month, the cumulative audience is expected to surpass 1 million. Lim Young Woong’s official YouTube channel has surpassed 1.79 million subscribers and 3.1 billion cumulative views. There are 109 videos with over 10 million views each. In the Korea Gallup survey ″Singers Who Shined in 2025,″ Lim Young Woong ranked first for six consecutive years in the 40 and older category with 29.1% support. They also ranked in the top three in brand reputation indices for singers, stars, advertisements, and trot categories. Lim Young Woong and their agency, Mulgogi Music, donated a total of 2.5 billion KRW through Community Chest of Korea and Korea University Medical Center to support socially vulnerable groups and flood recovery efforts.
